North America Water Advocacy Workshop

On November 16th, two of our SWIGS Vice-Chairs (Rodrigo Curty and Navya Nair) participated in the North American Water Advocacy Workshop, organized by the North American Youth Parliament for Water and the Butterfly Effect coalition. The workshop aimed to enable civil society organizations (CSOs) to share their perspective and influence decision makers for positive, ambitious change in the water sector. Solutions to limited access to water, sanitation and hygiene, contamination, water infrastructure and affordability were discussed. The results will inform policy briefs to be submitted to the World Water Forum (WWF) (Dakar, March 2022) and the 2023 UN Water Decade Conference (New York, March 2023).
