LOTTA HELP.
THE PTSA NEEDS HELP RUNNING REFLECTIONS!
The PTSA needs volunteers to help run the Reflections program. This year’s theme is “I Will Change the World by….” Students are invited to create original works of art in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.
Volunteers will collect and organize submissions, find judges and facilitate the judging process, advance first place artwork to the state level, and celebrate student participation and achievement.
National PTA says this about Reflections: “As a local leader of this program, you will play a critical role in promoting exploration of arts and culture in the home, school and community. Students who participate in the Reflections program may not recognize themselves as artists when they sign up - but by the end of the Reflections celebrations, they will.”
Please contact Claire Wilkes ASAP at ccwilkes@optonline.net for more information.
PTSA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Barlow PTSA is eager to have parents involved with making the JBHS community better for all our students. There are many ways to help, including many tasks that can be done completely from home. We are currently looking to fill the following committee positions:
- Parliamentarian
- Fundraising
- Volunteer Coordinator
- Nominating
- Reflections
- PTSA Meeting Hospitality
- Staff Appreciation Luncheon

TAKING CARE.
FALCONS, DO YOU WANT TO WEAR PAJAMAS TO SCHOOL?
Well, you can! On December 10th, with the donation of just ONE dollar! Please join the Class of 2024's effort to fight childhood cancer by bringing in one dollar and wearing your pajamas to school. All funds will be donated to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Your support matters! We are going to wear pajamas to school because the children at Connecticut Children's don't have the choice to wear regular clothes, they have to wear pajamas for days, weeks, months, or even longer while they are fighting cancer or other serious illnesses. In this season of giving, let's help support them and make a difference!
If you would like to donate or would like more information you can visit our team's page by clicking here. Otherwise, please bring that dollar to school on December 10th and wear your PJs!

If you have questions, email Hailey Romano (hailey.romano@er9.org) for more information.
