MEMBERSHIP DUES DRIVE
A big thank you to the almost 700 families who contributed to the 21-22 membership dues drive! While the total donations fell just short of the goal, we are very pleased with the results and we are grateful for your generosity during these challenging times. Please remember that it is never too late to update directory information or to pay membership dues here.
9th GRADE SOCIAL
After school last Thursday November 18, the SOA was filled with 9th graders playing Spike Ball, basketball, volleyball and socializing. There were prizes of North spirit gear and grab-and-go snacks. Thank you to Dean Sanders, Eileen Perruzzi, and the PTSO Class Liaisons: Kirsten Engel, Jaya Samant-Lai and Vicki Spetter, for organizing this successful event!
TIGER TRANSFERS—WELCOME!
Tiger Transfers is a group for any students who are new to Newton North. No matter where you are coming from and no matter what year you are, you are welcome to this group if you are new to NNHS and/or the Newton Public School system! Students will engage with others to create a community of support and learn how to access resources and find success in their new school home of NNHS. TEACHER APPRECIATION GRAB N’ GO BREAKFAST
The PTSO will be hosting a Teacher Appreciation Grab n' Go Breakfast on Friday, December 10. Please help us show our gratitude for all the wonderful teachers and staff at North by contributing items for the breakfast or donating money to support the event.
Sign-up here to bring something. Food donations can be dropped off as follows:
- Thursday, December 9: during school hours at the school's Main Office (non-perishable)
- Thursday,December 9: 5:00-8:00pm at 26 Whitney Road, Newtonville (non-perishable)
- Friday, December 10: 7:00-7:30am in the International Cafe
NOTE: the breakfast starts at 7:40am, so please be sure your items arrive before then!

MENTORS STILL NEEDED FOR TRANSITIONING TOGETHER
Cohort - the T2 Class of 2023
Have you been through the college application process with your own children or are you a recent college graduate? Become a mentor for a student and family without any experience with the college admission process through the Transitioning Together (T2) program, which has been transforming lives since 2013. T2 needs mentors to start in January 2022 and work with a first gen mentee through June 2023. Please watch this video of the T2 Mentor Open House and learn more here. If you're interested in serving as a mentor, please fill out this google form. Mentor training is the first week in December.
PTSO AT-LARGE METCO REP
At the October 26 PTSO Board meeting, Linda Barros was nominated by the Board to serve as one of the two PTSO ‘At-Large’ METCO representatives. The membership will vote on the nomination at the December 7 Board meeting. As always, the PTSO Board meetings are open to the entire membership, and we encourage you to participate.

Join us for coffee and conversation--all are welcome to these gatherings. We'll meet from 10:00-11:00am on the first Saturday of each month at Newtonville Plaza between Caffe Nero and Starbucks.
