The only authentic, true history of the Pilgrims who came to New England in 1620 was penned by their governor of 30 years, William Bradford. His priceless, handwritten history of Plymouth Plantation was lost and thought destroyed in the American Revolution. Amazingly, a copy was found many years later in a London library and returned to Massachusetts with great fanfare.
