This year I feel the need to Give Back more than ever. I couldn't decide which charity needed the most help in our Shuswap Community, So I have decided to share the proceeds of my 'GIFT BASKET GIVEAWAY" with the Salvation Army & the SAFE Society. ( Shuswap Area Family Emergency Society ) They both desperately need our help. Last year the Salvation Army helped close to 50 thousand people in our community, who needed it the most. SAFE society provides services and emotional support to women, children, youth, seniors and men affected by violence and or other life altering events involving the police.
These services include:
Transition house program,( 24 hours/day for women & children fleeing abuse) PEACE program which stands for Police Based Victim Services Program, Stopping the Violence counselling program and an Outreach program for youth.
