Thanksgiving
I have so much for which to give thanks! I began LifeNow ministries 13 years ago with the publication of Ten Life Choices. At the time I was serving as Pastor of Grace Life Community Church and using the book as curriculum for the Soul Restoration program through which many people received healing and restoration. While I was still Pastoring, Prison Fellowship picked up the book as curriculum for inmates in the US prison system and I developed an 11 lesson Correspondence Course for inmates. I left Grace Life 8 years ago but the church and Prison Fellowship continued to use the book. Although some of my own life choices had caused me to forfeit the position of Pastor, I still felt led to continue the ministry of LIfeNow. I am thankful for LifeNow.
The Lord has provided for my financial and medical needs (good insurance) through teaching 6th grade math for Prince William County schools (I am in my 6th year, love teaching, tolerate the system). I am also working part time as a Realtor for Golden Realtors (a wonderful Christ-centered Real Estate company). Through LifeNow I am still doing 12 hours of counseling per week, speaking engagements (on ZOOM and in person), weddings, funerals and of course the inmate correspondence course. Terri and I have led a home bible study in our home for the past 8 years as well. My life is FILLED with opportunities to choose life and share life with people (students, fellow teachers, Real Estate clients, counselees, inmates, Bible Study members, etc.,). I am thankful for these many opportunities.
My family has grown over these years and been a constant source of support. Terri and I will celebrate 45 years of marriage in the Spring. All of my 5 children are out of the house, the 3 girls are married, both boys are engaged and we have some wonderful grand daughters! I am thankful for my family.
I recognize that when a leader falls, it is hard for some people to continue to believe in them. While supporters of LifeNow is a shorter list than it was before, there are still many who follow the ministry, pray for the ministry, give to the ministry and refer broken people to the ministry. I am thankful for YOU!
Giving thanks,
Bob Perdue
