Why Creativity Matters NOW

Thank you to all that came along to any of the 12 online conversations that took place during Why Creativity Matters NOW (WCMN), part of the Learn Sheffield Autumn Online Festival.

What happened? Arts and cultural organisations and schools shared inspiring stories, case studies and ideas, whilst also discussing some of the challenges we face in using creativity in the classroom. There were themes covering SEND, diversity & inclusion, early years, the curriculum, active health and wellbeing, building community, drama & expressive arts, Sheffield Adventures, top tips and more.

For those that missed out, you can access the recordings from our website.

What’s next? We are currently working with our Creative Education Producer(s) Jenny Coats, Amy Willoughby and Becky Stroud from Beck School, using the knowledge gained from WCMN, to help us plan our next steps and our offer to schools and Partners in 2022. We look forward to telling you more soon!
