Dear WSCC community,
As the year winds down, we are taking stock of everything we've accomplished this year with the help of our community. We collected River Watch data to ensure our waterways are healthy; we partnered with The Nature Connection and Town of Paonia to build the new Paonia School Loop trail extension from the River Park; and we're still pushing for increased conservation priorities in the GMUG Draft Forest Plan as we approach the extended public comment deadline on November 26th.
There are so many ways to be involved with WSCC, from dedicating your time as a volunteer to submitting a comment to the GMUG Draft Forest Plan to becoming a member of our organization. Our membership makes up a significant part of our budget each year, and we are proud to be such a grassroots organization. As we approach the end of the year, please consider making a contribution this Giving Tuesday on November 30th, or scheduling a donation through Colorado Gives Day on December 7th. As a local conservation organization with just three full-time staff and an AmeriCorps member, every little bit counts, allowing us to continue our work to build an informed and engaged community to protect the lands, air, water and wildlife of the Western Slope.
With gratitude,
Tanya Henderson
