Beloved Yoga Friends,
In our daily lives, it is easy to become distracted and feel disconnected. Our body is in one place, yet our mind is wandering into the past or future. We get entangled in our thoughts and emotions and are not aware of our breathing.
Practicing yoga gives us the opportunity to pause, land in our body, and connect with our breath. As soon as we pay attention to our breath, we bring our body and mind back into the present moment.
Breath awareness is what makes yoga different than regular exercise. Breathing consciously during yoga invites us to access deeper levels of spiritual connection. Mindful breathing also helps us to prevent injury by keeping the body and mind in a relaxed and aware state.
In my own practice, I have found that by slowing down and breathing deeply I am able to gather up the fragmented pieces of myself and remember that I am whole, perfect, and complete.
This month, I am happy to be offering a variety of classes that invite you to slow down, arrive in your body, and breathe so that you can experience deep relaxation and connect with the joy of your being.
I hope you can join me!
Love,
Lauren Amrita
