Megan criticized the Premier for his disrespect to the province’s valuable public sector workers. She demanded that he respond to the Union’s counter-offer with fair wages so workers can get back to work and children can get back to school.
With the announcement that the government’s healthcare reform will come next week, David brought attention to the fact that New Brunswick has one of the highest rates of ill-health in the country. He called on the government to make the investments that are desperately needed.
Following indefinite hospital closures, Megan said that the decision making needs to be done at a local level by local communities, as the government fails to listen to the needs of people living in rural areas.

Following the Premier’s decision to forbid government employees from making territorial acknowledgments in reference to Indigenous lands, Kevin asked if this policy applies to teachers. Kevin said that teachers must teach historical facts in the classroom.
As the housing crisis continues to worsen Kevin says the government should not offer tax reliefs for landlords who are already making unprecedented revenues. Kevin said the government should instead focus on rent caps.
After new research showed that the land connecting New Brunswick and Nova Scotia is one of the most vulnerable places to Climate Change in North America, Megan called on the government to act immediately towards mitigating this risk.
