UMA Give to the Max Early Giving Match and Update!

As of this writing and because of your support, Upper Mississippi Academy is 24% ($2390) toward our $10,000 Give to the Max goal, and $700 from the $3090 amount needed to untap a $1500 Early Giving challenge match. Can you help us meet this early giving challenge match now before Wednesday, November 17?

What's Happening at School
Today was Community Friday with grade level groups participating in a variety of activities from touring the U of M, visiting a local small business and learning about careers from a variety of speakers. Our downtown location provides easy access to the Tria Ice Rink and ice skating during the school day so 8th grade students and staff laced up skates for fun and exercise.

Family Resources

COVID-19 Rapid Testing Sites
To provide Minnesota families even more access to free, quick testing resources, Governor Walz has expanded rapid COVID-19 testing opportunities across the state. These sites will allow Minnesotans experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to take an antigen test and receive results in 1-3 hours. Rapid COVID-19 testing is now available in:

Brooklyn Park
Crookston
Duluth
Hutchinson
Moorhead
Saint Paul
Stillwater
Inver Grove Heights

Friendly reminder students need to wear a mask while on school buses to and from school each day. They should not leave the house without a mask, a required school supply.

Picture Day
Lifetouch Photo will be at school Thursday, November 18 to take student and staff photos. No purchase is necessary but families interested in purchasing a photo package can do so online at mylifetouch.com and enter UMA's Picture Day ID EVTKSJKVN or return the photo order form next Thursday.

Art Fair
Upper Mississippi Academy will be hosting our very first Holiday Art Fair! On Friday, December 3 (5-8 pm) and Saturday, December 4 (9am - 1pm), UMA community members - students, staff, family members - will have the opportunity to reserve a table to display and sell their creative works. Table reservations are $5. Just in time for the gift giving seasons, please join us either to sell your wares or buy gifts for your friends and loved ones! Contact UMA art teachers Mickey Jurewicz or Brian Nagel with any questions.
