Dearest Ones,

It’s been another week of connection and growth at MKY - daily classes, Meredith’s Recovery series is underway, as is my Fertility series. Plus, Andy’s FREE Meditation class had a near record number of attendees on Monday night. If you haven’t had a chance to read Andy’s blog — The Practice Not the Perfect — about how his meditation class has evolved and impacted the participants, please do so and leave a comment.

I was moved to grab this screenshot after last Sunday’s class. I grabbed it without giving everyone a chance to pose and smile because it wasn’t about that. I had to capture the fact that these beautiful souls were there, valuing themselves, the practice, our community, and each other. I love my community.

After two months of not having my altar set up, I put one together today, and afterward realized that so many of my chosen items were from my dear spiritual friends, Savitri, Andy, Seva, Kimani. I am so fortunate. My altar reminds me of that. (Below is my altar and a good example of how I have no idea how to light anything I’m photographing. )

If you’re wondering, the thing under the cloth under the diffuser is a trivet my son painted in kindergarten when he was absolutely obsessed with mazes. It’s there for two reasons: 1) I don’t want moisture from the diffuser to damage the wood of the table and 2) what is better than my 5-year-old boy LOVING mazes?

I recommend having an altar to help you remember that you are more than your job and your roles and your circumstances. You are a spiritual being with a true essence. I recommend joining in our classes and events, joining in our community so that you have people in your life who help you remember to remember.

May the Truth in you guide you.

Blessings,

Cate & Your MKY Family
