'Tea with God' - Exploring the light of Christ
Sunday 21st November

Our next 'Tea with God' family service is on 21st November at 4pm at Shiplake. We will be looking forwards to Advent and Christmas, exploring the light of Christ in our worship with a bible story, prayers and songs. Then as we reflect, you may make your own seasonal glass mosaic tealight stand. Tea will be served afterwards, with sweet and savoury refreshments. This is a service for everyone, invite your friends, bring your children, grandchildren, parents and grandparents along to share the joy.

If you'd like to help with these Benefice family services, let Leigh know, we would appreciate all the help we can get.

Faith in Film - Exploring the big questions of life

The Henley BFaith in Film logoaptists are hosting a series of talks exploring the big questions of life at d:2 on Sunday evenings at 6pm from 7th November - 12th December. Led by Dr Krish Kandiah, they will be based on the results of a local survey about Henley's favourite films, examining their links to Henley and to faith. You can still vote for your favourite film here.
Save the Date! Benefice Nativity TrailStars
Sunday 19th December

Plans are underway for our Benefice Nativity which this year will be at Dunsden, with a journey around the churchyard and church through the story. Put the date in your diary and watch this space for more information.
With our grateful thanks
As St. Margaret's APCM was held by Zoom in July, it has been brought to the PCC's attention that some congregation members may not know that Sue Wright, Jonathan May and Tilden McKean stepped down from their named roles within the PCC, after many years of dedicated and faithful service.
As recognition of their wonderful service to St. M's they were given an engraved crystal wine goblet with some fine wines to christen the glass!, along with a gift voucher for John Lewis.
Along with our deepest gratitude, we wish them lots of very well deserved R&R.
We would also like to welcome Josie Peddie, David Ward (Church Warden) and Leigh Leadbetter (Secretary) as the newest members to the PCC.

Music lessons
We have recently welcomed Helen Lam as our new Music Director at Shiplake. Helen is a professional musician with a Masters degree in Music. Prior to moving to Caversham, she was a choral and handbell conductor in Hong Kong and has been teaching piano, singing, flute and music theory for many years. She can assist students in preparing ABRSM exams in piano, singing, flute and music theory. She is available as an accompanist for solo and ensemble instrumental and vocal performances and for examinations. For more information, please contact her at imhelen@gmail.com
Home Communion

We are aware that there are people who have been members of the church but are now unable to be with us regularly on a Sunday morning and we would like to offer Home Communion to them. If you know of anyone who would appreciate this service, please  contact Leigh with their details.
