There are many ways to be involved with Mountain SOL School this season!  There is something for everyone.  Read on, sign yourself up, and join the fun!

As you know, we all have so much fun at Mountain SOL each week! We wanted to find a way to let everyone see the pictures and stories from each week, so we’ve created a Shutterfly Share Site. All of the emails from the MLA  family roster were added to allow access. You should have received an email invite from Shutterfly Share Sites by November 12. You can view the Mountain SOL site at mountainsol.shutterfly.com once you accept the invitation. ShareSite also has an app for your phone, and once you’re accepted the invite, you’ll be able to access the Mountain SOL site on the app as well. We hope you all enjoy getting to see more of Mountain SOL, and please send an email to kaw915@gmail.com or joanncohenvaida@gmail.com if you do not see an invite.

Fall Intensives

Sign up for Winter Programming!


We will be offering two programs during our winter semester:  Winter Scouts Intensive and Practical Herbalism.  These classes meet during the cold weather months of January and February when our normal fall/spring classes are inactive.  Both classes start on January 6.
 
Winter Programming

WANTED: Volunteers for Mountain SOL School's Family Advisory Board (F.A.B.)
Mountain SOL School would like to invite parents, adult family members, and community members to join the Family Advisory Board (F.A.B.). It is our hope that the F.A.B. will increase engagement between the school and the community while helping our school continue extraordinary programming for youth. 

Mountain SOL School has some immediate needs that you might like to support:

  • Sponsorship programs for the school and also to fill backpacks with gear for our new students in Mason Dixon and Boone County

  • Help Mountain SOL fill up our Fall and Winter intensives classes

  • Help get the word out about our apparel

  • Organize and provide resources for a new shed in the spring

  • Help Moutain SOL with a new outdoor teaching structure
     

We'll send out an email on Wednesday, November 17 to all the F.A.B. folks about remote opportunities for the remainder of 2021. Our next F.A.B. meeting is in January.

Help Us Fill Backpacks!
Great news!  Mountain SOL School is growing! During this season of giving, please consider helping us fill backpacks with gear for our new students in Mason Dixon and Boone County. Check out our Amazon Wish List.
There are many other ways to support our efforts such as sponsoring staff training and offering scholarships to community members.  All donations are tax-deductible. 
We are having so much fun out in the woods with our students this school year! We're looking forward to all the excitement and wonder this season brings!
