ASU Delta Zeta Gala
Every year our ASU chapter has a parents weekend during Homecoming. This year it was November 5-7. It includes a Friday night Gala, Homecoming Football game and Sunday brunch. Alumnae are invited to join in the Gala festivities. This year six alumnae and 2 alumnae husbands joined the evening festivities. It is a great opportunity for parents to see what Delta Zeta is all about. Evening includes a short program, displays, dinner and dancing. Photo booth is also available for a souvenir of the evening. Above photo is the photo booth shoot of those attending alumnae. Pictured front row: Dusty Tingstrom, Susan Norman, back row: PJ Heyliger, Ashleigh Sickman, Lorna Green, Stephanie Chamberlin.

Our Pi Zeta Chapter at ASU News
Our Pi Zeta chapter at ASU hosted their 4th annual Hoops for Hearing philanthropy week. This year they raised $34,000 the most ever raised at this fall event. The girls had 15 fraternities participating and it was a great experience to bond and raise money together. Congratulations to all! Especially Philanthropy chair, Rachel Hall.

Initiation was Nov. 2 and we now have 82 new Pi Zeta's! At this time, the girls are busy getting ready to elect new officers and to take final exams early in December.
Delta Zeta's in the News

From the Chapter House to the White House

Elizabeth Cavalieri, Pi Zeta – Arizona State, may have been the Chapter President while in college, but today she works for a President. She is currently working at the White House as Associate National Press Advance Lead. In January, she was worked the Presidential Inauguration. Elizabeth then found herself on the tarmac working the departure of the Vice President on the first international trip to Mexico of the Biden-Harris administration. Her sisters can't wait to hear more of her high-flying adventures!

Elizabeth was featured in the most recent Lamp, Facebook and our July 2021 newsletter. Below are a couple more photos. The first is Elizabeth working the Presidential Inauguration and the second a lovely portrait view.
Panhellenic Scholarship Applications
Phoenix Panhellenic Association is once again offering scholarship awards to Arizona women who are initiated members of one of the twenty-six member organizations of National Panhellenic Conference sororities. Although scholarship amounts may vary from year to year $30,000 was awarded to fourteen Arizona undergraduates and alumnae, last May. Scholarship checks will be made out to the student and the university that the student will attend. Previous recipients may apply in succeeding years. Scholarship decisions are based on academics; contributions to sorority, school, and community; and financial need.

Schoalarship funds are mainly provided by Panhellenic women and their friends and family who donated time to serve at the Phoenix Waste Management Open. See below for details on how to volunteer.

Deadline: February 28, 2022

Mighty Change of Heart Philanthropy
As an optional philanthropy, Delta Zeta alumnae and collegians donate teddy bears and or other stuffed animals through Phoenix Panhellenic Association for Mighty Change of Heart. Their main focus is supporting foster children and kinship children in Arizona any way they can. There are over 15,500 foster children currently in the system and more are added every day. And while there are many great foster parents out there providing loving homes for these children, State support and resources can often be limited. When a child enters the system, they often take very little if anything with them in terms of worldly possessions and relying on foster families to make up the difference, which can cause unnecessary financial strain. This is where A Mighty Change of Heart begins. The stuffed animals are given to these children within a bag filled with other items including clothing, books and probably their first possessions. Our 12 to 15 inch stuffed teddy bears or other animals are an important aspect of the bag they take to their new home. Please bring bears to our Christmas tea on December 4th or donate directly at: https://www.amchaz.org/
If you have "news", please share with your DZ sisters. Send info and photos to

All info is due on the 25th day before each month.
