 Priest in Charge Search Prayer

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a priest in charge for this parish, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
From Fr.  Chris
Christ the King

On this Sunday of the Reign of Christ, the church proclaims Christ the King.  The church announces that it bows only to Jesus the Christ.  The Church declares that it does not give allegiance to any other person, principality, or power claiming to be sovereign.   Yet, will the Church live out its profession? Forever fearful in this increasingly post-Christian era of losing members  and thus losing influence in the community, does the Church temper its message and its mission in a disparate effort to maintain position?  Jesus poses these questions to each of us to answer and live by.  How do you respond?

Bishop Jose McLoughlin will make his visitation to Holy Family this Sunday, November 21. If able, please make plans to attend in person to welcome him for his first visitation since March 24, 2019. A reception will be held after the service. Let’s treat Bishop Jose to a wonderful Holy welcome.
Hey hey y’all!
We have been really enjoying our time together in the Sunday school classroom! We have some really bright, thoughtful, and precious children in our midst. Each week they grow in faith and in friendship with their fellow disciples. I am so proud to be their teacher and enjoy every minute with them!
This week we are really looking forward to the visit with the bishop and hope to sit in the front row like usual so the kiddos can get a good look at all he does during communion.
As always, thank you all SO much for your continued love and support for our children’s program!
I’m praying for you, and I’ll see you on Sunday morning!

Family News
Coffee Fellowship is a wonderful time in the life of our parish. It is a time, after being fed spiritually, we gather as a community to refresh our bodies with coffee and a snack. It is a time that we strengthen our sense of community. It is a time in which we can introduce guests to our community and make them feel welcome. Finally, it is time that we can offer our gift of hospitality by providing snacks and cleanup. So please utilize the ever present sign up sheet to provide a Sunday’s hospitality.

In case you didn’t have enough pie on Thanksgiving here is your chance. Come to Holy Family between 2pm and 4pm and enjoy a slice of pie and fellowship. If you wish, bring your favorite pie to share. To give an idea of how many will come, please utilize the ever present sign up sheet in the narthex. See you there.
Choir Rehearsal

Choir rehearsal has resumed Wednesday at 4:30 pm. Pleas join us as we are practicing music for the Bishop’s visit.
We have reached the required $5000 so the Ingles cards are available for pickup. Please bring your checks made out to Holy Family, tagged Ingles Cards, and see Teresa Kelly this Sunday to pickup yours.
