Hi <<First Name>>,
Can you imagine the anxiety and distress of being stuck at the doctor’s office with no ride back home?
I can’t get that image out of my mind. It was just such a story that spurred the Home to transport residents ourselves. Without reimbursement, the Home provides transport to doctor’s offices, dialysis treatments, and other non-emergency medical outings every day.
Now you can help purchase a new vehicle to transport residents more comfortably with more security and dignity.
Every day residents of the Home need rides to medical appointments. State-provided transportation is inadequate and undignified. Good Sam stopped using those services a few years ago. Residents deserve better care than they offer.
That’s why this year’s #GivingTuesday effort is in support of a new Transport Van. And you can help by donating at https://goodsamhome.org/givingtuesday/. Already, churches in the area have committed more than $20,000 towards the $35,000 needed.
November 30th, following Thanksgiving, is Giving Tuesday. Save the date, and join the exciting effort to provide a caring community through Christian love and concern, by purchasing a piece of Good Sam’s new Transport Van.
