CfLT wins national award!

We are happy to announce that the Rubik's Cube Challenge developed by the CfLT and Furman's CTL has been awarded the POD Network Innovation Award.  The competition had 23 submissions this year. The award was announced at the 2021 POD Fall conference which had over 900 attendees. Developed by Lew Ludwig of Denison University and Benjamin Haywood of Furman University, their innovation competed in the final round against projects from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, York University, and Penn State. Here is a short video presenting their poster and findings.

The Rubik's Cube Challenge was a six-week long project where participants learned how to solve the Rubik's Cube and better understand the expert blindspot. By understanding the frustrations experienced by novice learners, instructors were more aware of the expert blindspot in their classrooms and how to address these issues. Thanks to all the participants at Denison and Furman who took on the Challenge and made this innovation a success!
