Friday at KWFF brought us Key West premieres of some of the most anticipated films of the season: Pedro Almodovar's PARALLEL MOTHERS and C'MON C'MON starring Joaquin Phoenix, and thrilling Q&A's from directors Douglas Tirola and Danielle Kummer with their films BERNSTEIN'S WALL and ALIEN ON STAGE. And audiences were treated to some of the finest short films from students across the world as well as the top filmmakers in Florida.
SATURDAY, 11/20 - What's On Tap at Key West Film Fest
Today is full of events, kicking off with our 7th Annual Critics' Panel at noon at the Viva Saloon and the 5th Annual Costume Design Panel right after. Golden Key Award winner Sean Baker comes to town with his new film RED ROCKET and THE POWER OF THE DOG, starring Benedict Cumberland plays right after as we honor Kodi Smit-McPhee with his Golden Key for emerging talent. Some of the finest LGBTQ films play at the Key West Theater with FIREBIRD, BOULEVARD! A HOLLYWOOD STORY and the acclaimed short film CODED.
And of course, our not-to-be missed awards ceremony and reception happening later tonight.
