President Signs Historic Infrastructure Bill and $18 Million Infrastructure Grant Coming to San Francisco
On November 15, President Biden signed the Infrastructure and Investment Jobs Act which will invest nearly $1 trillion in transportation, water, broadband, and power infrastructure across the nation. The U.S. Department of Transportation also awarded an $18 million RAISE grant to the West Side Bridges replacement and seismic retrofit project on Yerba Buena Island.

Supporting Safe Routes to School
Our board approved $925,000 in half-cent sales tax for transportation funds to support SFMTA’s Schools Engineering Program. Within San Francisco’s Safe Routes to School, this program will fund the planning, design, and construction of signage, paint markings, and traffic calming measures at schools throughout the city.
