IEPCP FORUM - 9 Dec 2021
Tackling Climate Change;
Promoting Youth Mental Health

The IEPCP invites you to join us on 9 December to explore the health impacts of climate change, with a particular focus on the mental health of young people.
Participants will hear results from recent research about the links between climate change and mental health, the role of social media engagement in promoting benefits or presenting challenges and the contribution of screen time vs green time.
There will be a practical session in which we will hear about the benefits of positive values- based messaging for supporting good mental health and effectively communicating our messages. We will also get to practice and get some feedback.
Experienced leaders including Federal, State and Local Government representatives will talk to us about how to have influence, what strategies are most effective.
And, importantly, we will consider how to look after ourselves as we work towards a sustainable and equitable future for all inhabitants of the planet.
It's going to be great and we look forward to you joining us for this exciting event.
You will hear from engaging speakers and learn what action is most effective for change. Click here for more information and to register.

"I care a lot about mental health and I really enjoy working with young people which really summarises my role. One thing that really interests me about my role is working closely with our youth advisory group and being able to give them opportunities to get involved in their community and make a difference to youth mental health services."
