Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene meets with U.S. Ambassador Michael Klecheski

Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene had a meeting with Michael S. Klecheski, Ambassador of the United States to Mongolia. At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the U.S. government for donating 1,088,100 doses of Pfizer vaccines to Mongolia through COVAX. 
The Prime Minister stated that he chairs the National Anti-Corruption Commission and that the government is focusing on fighting corruption. He expressed his desire to strengthen democracy and cooperation with the United States in the fight against corruption. 
During the meeting, they also discussed trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The Prime Minister emphasized that the government is focusing on economic priorities such as transportation, logistics, and funding sources, and stressed the importance of intensifying Mongolian-American relations and cooperation.

Digital governance to tackle bribery and bureaucracy

The national committee on transitioning to e-government and ensuring bureaucracy and corruption-free public services, established by Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene, convened on November 11.
At the end of the national committee meeting, the Prime Minister laid out the following tasks: to sort out permits related to land and mining licenses within this year, to hold meetings with political party leaders regarding the financing of political parties, and to receive suggestions from civil society organizations. 
Currently, Mongolia ranks 111th with 35 points out of 100 in the 2020 Corruption Perception Index. Due to frequent reports of bribery and bureaucracy at government organizations providing public services, the government is currently aiming to digitize all public services and thus become a “digital nation”.

Mongolia Growth Group’s profits reached 3.8 million CAD in Q3

Mongolia Growth Group, a Canadian Stock Exchange-listed real estate and financial services company, reported revenue of 708,000 CAD in the third quarter of 2021, increasing by 18.4 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. 
The company’s profits reached 3.8 million CAD in the third quarter of 2021. In the first nine months of 2021, the company’s profits reached 13.7 million CAD.
The company’s sales and revenue increased as the Government of Mongolia lifted its strict COVID-19 prevention measures.   


344,000 tons of wheat harvested nationwide
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the country has fully met the domestic demand for flour according to this year's wheat harvest of 344,000 tons, which is more than 308,000 tons of annual flour consumption.
According to the National Statistics Office’s annual consumption estimates, Mongolian producers meet 97 percent of domestic demand for meat and meat products, 100 percent of the demand for flour and potatoes, and 60.7 percent of the domestic demand for vegetables.
