Any item in our stock made before 1820, has impeccable green credentials.  The trees which were cut down have re-grown multiple times.  Raw materials and finished pieces alike were transported by wind and horse power.  Every component was made by hand.  Admittedly the 19^th century ushered in far greater industrialization and carbon emissions inevitably increased, but these have been mitigated over time. 

And why just in your home? A new desk is a legitimate business expense, no matter whether it is 1 year or 100 years old.
