The Swedish Chamber's 60th Anniversary postponed

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce regrets to inform with reference to the new restrictions regarding the Corona situation presented by the Dutch government at the Press conference on Friday, November 12, 2021, it has been forced to postpone the Swedish Chamber of Commerce 60th Anniversary Innovation and Sustainability Summit and Gala Dinner on November 18, to a date in 2022.

The new restrictions affect our program both in the afternoon and in the evening, which therefore cannot take place. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce would like to extend a warm thank you to all who have been involved for their great collaboration and contribution. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience for all concerned and hope for your understanding. We hope to be able to resume planning the event in 2022 and to come back with more information as soon as possible.

The Award Ceremony will take place on the Swedish Chamber's 60th Anniversary, which has been postponed to a date in 2022.

The Elof Hansson Foundation is a long-term supporter of academic education and training in the commercial sector. As of 2022, it supports a young talent from the School of Business, Economics and Law at Gothenburg University to gain international experience through joining the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands for a 12 month period.

As a Scholarship recipient, as well as a Management Trainee, you will for one year actively participate in the work at The Swedish Chamber of Commerce and its areas of work such as events, management, marketing, communication, member recruitment as well as membership retention and other business promotion. Stefan Löfven resigns as PM of Sweden
|

|
On November 10, Stefan Löfven handed in his resignation as Prime Minister of Sweden, which was quite expected since he stepped down as party leader of the Social Democrats two weeks ago.
At the party’s congress held during the same week, Magdalena Andersson, currently Finance Minister, was elected to replace Löfven as leader of the Social Democrats. This paves the way for her to become the country’s first woman Prime Minister if she wins a vote in parliament. There is no date set for the vote yet.

Online Cooking Workshop - Advent Baking

On Sunday, November 28, Ingrid Geel Nilsson from Northern Delight will hold an online cooking workshop about Swedish Sweet Kitchen with the theme Advent. The workshop will be held in Dutch via Zoom.
The event takes place on the first Sunday in Advent, which is the start of the Swedish Christmas celebration. In this workshop, you will enjoy the real Swedish Christmas tastes and smells – saffron, orange, cinnamon, clove, and ginger. Prior to the event, you will be provided a grocery list as well as a list of necessary baking equipment. Please note that you need to use an oven for this workshop.
