The Marion Soil and Water Conservation District and
North Santiam Watershed Council would like to share information on using native plants to restore your property.
Ocean Spray

We’ve put together a website with information on why we recommend native plants, a short list of trees, shrubs and flowering plants for upland and stream-side areas, planting tips, a list of local native plant nurseries and upcoming native plant sales.
At this time, we do not have any free native plants available for landowners.

We have been out to many properties over the past year and are encouraged to see much of the native vegetation starting to recover on its own, but we know there are many places where there has been soil disturbance from various activities which may require re-planting. The resources on this webpage will help with your planting needs.
