Dear Living Wage Employer:
Orange County Living Wage was formed six years ago to provide a certification process to recognize employers that pay living wages.
With a small budget from modest local government grants and donations from supporters, we operate almost entirely with volunteers. Members of our working Board recruit employers, review applications, maintain our website and database, write our bimonthly newsletters, organize events and prepare marketing materials to promote certified employers, publicize our Job Board, and do everything else it takes to shine the spotlight on living wages.
Orange County Living Wage needs more funds to step up to the next level and better support employers and workers. Other living wage certification programs, such as Just Economics in Asheville, charge a fee for employers to become certified. We are considering that. We value your feedback.
