G21 HWB PILLAR UPDATE - DECEMBER 2021
DIRECTOR'S UPDATE

Welcome to our December edition of the G21 Health and Wellbeing Pillar Newsletter.

As we head into December and approach the end of what can only be described as “a big year”. We have seen the pandemic escalate the importance of public health measures. We have seen the value in receiving our vaccinations. At G21, we have seen how versatile and responsive our partners have been in ensuring that health and wellbeing activities and undertakings remain a priority for our community. Despite the limitations of the pandemic and  significant redeployment to the COVID-19 pandemic response, the HWB Pillar has achieved many outstanding results this year. Each LGA has adopted comprehensive MPHWBP into the organisational strategic plans, and community health organisations have seen the planning, consultation and endorsement of 4 year IHP plans.

We wanted to take this opportunity to thank our partners and colleagues, for the continued and sustained effort they have made over the 2021 year. The ability to achieve so much, despite difficult and trying circumstances should be applauded, and we thank you all for your continued support and contributions.

Our website is updated daily with links around the latest COVID-19 advice and updates from DH, as well as comprehensive links around mental health and wellbeing, how to prevent infection and spread, and emergency relief and links to support for those experiencing financial distress.

The G21 HWB Team look forward to prioritising the health and wellbeing of the G21 Community and continuing to work collaboratively, as we progress through the current COVID 19 environment. We hope you have the opportunity for a break, and to recharge over the holiday season. Looking forward to seeing you all back in 2022.

Stay safe and get your COVID-19 vaccination,
Zoe
