York Christmas Festival is in full swing across the city, with the return of St Nicholas Fair until 23rd December. Our virtual Christmas market is also live on visityork.org to bring the magic of St Nicholas Fair into homes across the country. After last year's postponement, we're delighted that the Rugby League World Cup 2021 rescheduled York fixtures have now been announced. A year later than planned, 2022 will be an exciting year as York's LNER Community Stadium will host eight women's matches including the semi-final double-header. Tickets are on-sale now.

City of York Council and North Yorkshire Police has been notified about a planned protest which is to take place in the city centre. The protest will involve a march which will start and end at York Minster and is due to start at 1pm. Following North Yorkshire Police's agreement to a route for the protest march, City of York Council has confirmed a temporary traffic order will be in place from 13:30 to 15:30 on Saturday 4th December. A note to our members that the Visitor Information Centre on Museum Street will be closing for Christmas on 24th December and will reopen on Monday 3rd January. There's still time to stock up on unique Christmas gifts with your 10% member discount on all purchases.

City of York Council have announced a new grant scheme. The Business Growth Voucher scheme provides eligible (small or micro) York-based businesses with a voucher of up to £1,000 to help pay for services and expertise from other York suppliers.
