A bunch of tales I wanted to share with you

A tale I read

Object Permanence by Laurie Ogden

A tale I heard

Comedian Sarah Millican on her best ever kiss:

"Just after our wedding. Neither of us really drinks, so we were both sober, and it was our first kiss alone, where people weren’t throwing rice at us. I hadn’t realised how much rice hurts."

A tale I saw

Cues by Lewis Buxton

A tale I wrote

The footsteps stop
with 20 feet of snow-
covered path in front
of them. The owner
of the perfectly curved
soles definitely melted
or exploded or vanished
into the clouds. There is
no other explanation.
My hands are cold.
My nose can't remember
what colour it's supposed
to be. The sky looks like
blue on a sad day. The
trees are frozen
in their beautiful death.
Watching your breath
leave your face like a train
brings my bones to the boil.
