LAST CHANCE! 2021 Annual Appeal ends Friday, Dec 3rd and we need your help!

The 2021 Annual Appeal is wrapping up this Friday. Please, if you have not already done so complete the survey  and donate to support our school. We still need to hear from many more Abernethy families! 

As a reminder, make sure you participate in the Appeal by completing the survey and making your donation online via Mighty Cause or by check made out to “Abernethy PTA.”  Please consider monthly, recurring donations, which you can set up via Mighty Cause, to give more over the course of the year.

This year, we are relying on the Appeal to be the PTA’s largest fundraiser, especially since it’s another year that we can’t count on a big, in-person fundraiser like the Auction.  Please don’t delay and give as generously as you can. We have a long way to go to reach our goal.

Help for holidays/winter break

Each year, Abernethy comes together to support families during the extended winter break and holidays.  This is offered every year, but we know that the pandemic continues to be difficult for many families, and being present for each other as a community is just as important as ever.  If you need assistance or want to donate, please contact Jenny Morgan at jmorgan1@pps.net 503-679-4799.  If you need support throughout the year, please complete the Confidential Financial Assistance form and email it to jmorgan1@pps.net

November Lost and Found Reminder

The lost and found area is teeming with items as the weather gets more varied. I am including pictures of everything in lost and found as of November 10th for your reference. If you see something that belongs to your child please pick it up before November 30th as unclaimed items will be donated on Wednesday, December 1st.

Just as a reminder, access into the building is limited due to covid restrictions but on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of this week, I will take the lost and found items out of the building and place them in the outside corner by the Kindergarten classroom, near the garden. Items will be placed back inside at 3:15pm.

RXfundraising supports Abernethy

There are lots of ways to raise money for Abernethy Elementary School. Through Amazon Smile, Fred Meyer rewards, Box Tops and now Rite Aid. With just 50 parents participating in the program, we can raise $2100. If you use Rite Aid for your pharmaceutical needs, please consider signing up for this program and raise money for our little school under the elms.
