Take A Deep Dive on Offshore Wind
Our community is at the forefront of US offshore wind development. We are witnessing firsthand the hurdles and complicated interests and considerations inherent in these projects. Learn more detail about the wind industry by joining sessions offered during this two day online event. Discussion will focus on necessary policies, government actions and market structures to make offshore wind a scalable utility and able to help our country reach its energy goals. |

MVC Carbon Storage Study
The MV Commission, in partnership with the Woodwell Climate Research Center was excited to receive an anonymous gift for half of the $300,000 needed to launch a project titled Assessing the Land Carbon Dynamics and Storage Potential of Martha's Vineyard. This will help them understand and determine land and water use policies to protect and enhance the Island's functions as a carbon sink.
In your year end giving consider supporting this study and the Carrying Capacity & Supply Chain Study planned in partnership with Nantucket and the Army Corps of Engineers. These scientific studies are critically important as they will inform the analysis that underpins our climate adaptation strategies. We Leave You With This Thought
Collectives do not emerge from the tops of institutions. They begin with one person and then another, the invisible social space where commitment and action join together to become a dyad, a group, a team, a movement. To put it simply: no one is coming to help. There is not a brain trust that is going to work out the problems while we ponder and wait. The most complex, radical technologies on earth are the human heart, head and mind, not a solar panel.
