Visit us for games, stories and holiday merriment! Regular Library and Park and Rec services will end at 5PM when the celebration officially begins.

Book Discussion

Starts in 2022!

Greendale Public Library will be starting a new Adult Contemporary Book Discussion next year!  On the 1st Wednesday of each month, join us for a book discussion on various best selling and diverse books, from 6-7:30pm in the library Lower Level Community Meeting Room. For ages 18+.  No registration required, just drop in! We hope to see you there! 
 

The 1st discussion, on January 5th, will feature the novel, An American Marriage, by Tayari Jones. "Newlyweds Celestial and Roy, the living embodiment of the New South, are settling into the routine of their life together when Roy is sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit. An insightful look into the lives of people who are bound and separated by forces beyond their control"-- Provided by publisher.

Programs for Kids
 

After School Family Fun (Youth Area)
Thursday, Dec. 9th, 3-4:30pm
Come to the Youth Area to relax and have fun after school . We have Lego’s and a holiday craft for children grades 1-5, but younger children can participate with the help of an adult. No registration is required, just drop in!

Toddler Storytime (Lower Level)
Thursday, Dec. 16th, 10-10:30am
Bring your toddlers, ages 18 months to 3 years, to share stories, songs, rhymes to learn together. Siblings are welcome. Includes a hands-on activity to complete at home. No registration required, just stop in!

Teen Mental Health Monday (Lower Level)
Monday, Dec. 6th, 3-4:30pm
Join us at the library for some destress time and activities to make the holidays a little less stressful. This event is 6-12th graders. Registration is required

 

Teen Holiday Craft (Lower Level)
Thursday, Dec. 16th, 3-4:30pm
Ready to get crafty? Join us for a fun wintery craft! This event is for 6-12th graders. Registration is Required.


Programs for Adults
 
Color Me Calm (Lower Level)
Tuesday, Dec. 7th, 6-7:30pm
Enjoy a stress-free evening of coloring fun and intricate coloring pages designed just for adults. The library will provide the materials but feel free to bring in your own supplies. Registration is not required, just drop in!  Future 2022 Color Me Calm will be the 1st Monday of the month from 6-7:30pm.

Tech Tuesday (Main Level)
Tuesdays, Dec. 7th & 21st, 3-5pm
Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, get help with your device! Local high schoolers will be available to help you with any tech problems. No registration necessary, just drop in! 

Book A Librarian (Info Desk)
Thursday, Dec. 9th, 3-5:00pm
Every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month, book a 30 minute, one-on-one session for library and basic technology help. (EXCEPTION: None Dec. 23rd). Registration Required.

Monday Movie Matinee
(Lower Level)
Monday, Dec. 13th, 2-5pm
On the 2nd Monday of the month, grab some popcorn and join us for free showings of popular films. This month's movie is The Call of the Wild. For Adults 18+. No admission fee. No registration required.
