Mature, well-cared-for vines in a great vintage ushered in quality fruit, which Lake Breeze then masterfully crafted into this beauty. Yes, this concentrated Cabernet will reward cellaring, but it is fabulously lush now too.

"The epitome of signature Langhorne Creek cabernet. The quality of the fruit is in evident from the outset. It's matured for 20 months in French oak, 40% new, yet this is subservient to the black/blueberry aromas and flavours, some regional dark choc-mint adding a tiny whiff behind. The influence of old vines in the quality of wine is as relevant to this Shiraz too. Bondar have one of McLaren Vale's most regarded old sites, from which they make a fragrant, modern Shiraz which has a lighter touch than many in the region. While heaviness is traded in favour of freshness, this is not short on complex flavour. What a treat it is to enjoy a wine this good at this price.
