SCNMI NEWS
December is Compassionate Ministries Month
December is Compassionate Ministries Month, a time to celebrate the way God is transforming lives through the Church of the Nazarene’s acts of Christlike compassion worldwide.
Congregations are encouraged to set aside a Sunday during the month of December (or in January if that works better for your church) to focus on God’s call to active compassion.

This year, our Compassionate Ministries Month offerings will support the 2021 NCM Christmas Project. This project will care for children caught in crisis by providing medical care, educational support, food distributions, and encouragement for children who are refugees.
Specifically, the offerings from this year's Christmas Project will...
  • Provide food for children who are experiencing hunger in Venezuela
  • Cover school fees and scholarships for students at Nazarene schools in Jordan and Lebanon
  • Facilitate medical and mental health care in Lebanon and Bangladesh
  • Encourage children living as refugees in Bangladesh and throughout Europe
News and a need from the Campos Family
Most of you are aware of news in Haiti. Our recent deputation missionaries, David, Erika and Sara Campos, were able to leave the US and got as far as the Dominican Republic. At this time, they cannot get back to their Haitian assignment location. Erika informed me that they may be reassigned. At this time, they are "on hold" and awaiting news for next steps. Much of their work can be done electronically and isn't disrupted by their location; but, their relationships and face-to-face work is suffering. Still, we know that the Lord is faithful.

Let's be intentional in praying for this sweet family and for this country and others that are in disharmony. Aren't we blessed to know that God hears our prayers for people all over the globe?

PRAYER NEEDS
  • Gale Adams, wife of Pastor Henry Adams (Great Falls) as she continues dialysis treatment
  • Rev. William Jarrell (Retired) recovering from hip replacement surgery
  • Pastor David Spires (Cayce) as he continues to recover from spinal surgery
  • Pastor Harry Varn (Winnsboro) as he recovers from surgery
  • Pastor Bill Watts (Lugoff) as he recovers from recent heart procedure
