December Roundtable

Our traditional chili cook-off / holiday gathering is back! We are hosting this final RT of the year at the Troop 425 Scout Hut (Zion Lutheran Church, 226 Corley Mill Rd., Lexington) on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7:00 pm. Please join us and bring your favorite chili - or just come enjoy a bowl!

Along with our holiday gathering, we will also be collecting toys for our annual Toy Drive. If you feel so inclined, please bring a new, unwrapped toy and we will deliver them to Toys for Tots on your behalf! Or see above to arrange a pick-up with Chip or Laurie from your unit before the 13th.

If you are able to bring chili, or anything else (dessert, drinks, bowls, etc.), please e-mail Chip Payne (Payne.Chip@gmail.com) so we know how many folks are cooking, who is bringing what, etc.

We hope to see you there on the 9th!

Eagle / Alumni Awards

Do you know an Eagle Scout who stands out in our community? Many of our area Eagles have scouting and community service records that inspire others through their actions and daily lives. They exemplify what an Eagle is - and always will be.

What about our outstanding Alumni? Do you know someone who has a sustained relationship with Scouting who reminds alumni to maintain their relationship and enables our program to remain healthy and continue for generations to come?

As we begin rechartering units across the council, please be mindful of the importance of maintaining your YPT certification. Leaders and merit badge counselors must be dropped if they do not remain current.
