Advent Lessons and Carols

A light to those who sit in darkness
Sunday, December 5 ~ 4pm

This candlelight choral service carries us from darkness into the light of seeing God among us.  Carols for congregation, choir and organ alternating with readings from the prophets include all in a dramatic procession.

Carols for Choir:  Melissa Dunphy O Oriens, Hildegard von Bingen O Virtus Sapientiae, Herbert Howells A Spotless Rose, Benjamin Britten A Hymn to the Virgin, Sergei Rachmaninoff Bogoroditse Devo, Melissa Dunphy Magnificat. Voluntaries: Aria from J. S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations; Verschiedene Canones, BWV1087, arranged for piano and organ duet.

A free-will offering benefits the Choir School.

Daffodils: Reliable signs of renewal

Bring your gloves and hand shovels, we're planting Daffodils in our new garden!

We're looking for 7 people/families to plant daffodils immediately following the 10am service on Sunday, December 5.

The gardener will prepare the bed so all we need to do is lay each bulb in and cover with soil. We will bless our soil and bless this time of growing for St. Paul's.

Join us. See you then.
