New Products to Keep You Moving this Summer

___
This year we introduced the revolutionary Ypush to New Zealand. The powered wheelchair is care person controlled and able to move at walking speed for a distance of 11 kms. The YPush enables you to get out and traverse gradients and contours that otherwise the wheelchair pusher couldn’t manage.
In November we took delivery of the Quingo Flyte. This self-loading portable solution is perfect for those who struggle with lifting. The mobility scooter drives itself in and out of your car via a remote, loads and unloads into most small hatchbacks/SUVs/estate cars in under 60 seconds. Away you go!

Organised by Safer Hastings partners to help raise awareness and prevent injuries from mobility scooter falls and accidents, 15 Havelock North residents recently took advantage of the opportunity to both socialise and gain more confidence on their rides.

The Mobility Centre team gave their time for free to help instruct and test the scooters’ roadworthiness, along
with Police, Safer Hastings, Age Concern Havelock North, and Hastings District Council transportation team representatives.
