Some key trends

• 37% of viral TikTok videos focus on a person speaking.
• Happiness is the primary emotional impression of viral TikToks.
• 83% of viral TikTok videos came from non-verified accounts.
• Humour, Dance and Pets were the top viral TikToks by genre.
• More than half of viral TikTok videos had music as their primary backing sound.

• 'Meta' is removing targeting options that allow advertisers to promote content to people based on their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, health, religious beliefs and more. Age, gender, location and other interests will remain as targeting options.
   
• Snapchat expands its Sounds Library in a new deal with Sony Music. This partnership will allow creators to add popular music to their Snaps, also helping to promote the artists on the platform (very much like TikTok's offering).

• Snapchat's new 'Food Scan' feature is here. In partnership with Allrecipes, the new feature will help users find recipe recommendations by simply scanning the ingredients that they have available at any given time.
