Join us today on Giving Tuesday and support our fully mobile outreach van program, supporting women who are homeless in Surrey.

Every woman and child has the right to live a life free of abuse. Your support is invaluable in the fight against gendered violence. Thank you!
In this Issue:
  • Giving Tuesday: Turn your spendings into support for women in the community.
  • Outreach Van: Get our mobile outreach program in Surrey running again!
  • What We're Reading: The latest news and reports on violence against women.
For Giving Tuesday, we are fundraising to support our Outreach Van program for women and women-identified individuals who are sleeping in the streets or who have no fixed address in Surrey BC.

Our mobile outreach service is essential in the community as lack of overnight transit and access to harm reduction supplies in Surrey can put more women at risk of experiencing violence, especially during the night. Established in May 2017, the Outreach Van can serve up to 35 unique women a night but unfortunately, we have had to suspend this program due to lack of funding.

Outreach Van, Atira's Mobile Outreach Service:

Turn this year's Black Friday spending into social value for your community! Join us this year to make your dollar go even further! For every gift donated, a generous partner will match donations up to $5000.

Your donation lets women know that they are not alone. That the violence they survive is never their fault. That violence against all women and children will not be tolerated.

With your support and generosity, we can get the Outreach Van up and running so we can continue to support women and get them the access to safety they deserve.
