Participate in a Study

Dear Potential Participant,

My name is Tracie Lee, and I am a Ph.D. student in the Clinical Psychology program at Fielding Graduate University. I am seeking individuals to participate in a study on the experiences of deeply connected moments in coupled relationships and how this kind of deep connection affects overall relationship quality.

Individuals eligible to participate must be (a) living together with their partner for at least four consecutive years and (b) identify themselves as being in a committed couple partnership.

Participants will be asked to participate in (1) a brief online survey to review the study’s procedures and provide some demographic information and (2) an in-person or virtual interview via video-conferencing, which will be video-recorded and last approximately 75-90 minutes. The option of virtual interviews will be offered depending on the comfort levels of prospective participants, the current state of public health guidelines with respect to COVID-19 at the time of data collection, and the participant’s location. Virtual interviews will be conducted on a HIPPA-compliant video-conferencing platform. All participant data will be stored in a secure manner on an encrypted hard drive, and only the principal investigator will have access to the data.

Participation in this study may give participants the opportunity to reflect deeply on their experiences in their couple relationship and share their relationship story. Each participant will be compensated with a $20 honorarium for their participation.

If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please contact the principal investigator, Tracie Lee, or her dissertation chair, Dr. Susan G. Goldberg.

Sincerely,

Ms. Tracie Lee, M.A.(Ed), M.A.
