Dear Friends of Fordham Sailing,
Giving Tuesday is more than halfway through but we still have a long way to go! We have raised $3,250 and have not yet unlocked our matching gift. It is important to note that we rely on this campaign and the spring day of giving to fund our entire operating budget. With limited financial support from the university, we rely almost entirely on your support to keep the program running. Despite the fact that we have increased our goals this year to enhance the program in a few key areas and cover increased expenses, we will continue to operate off of much less than our varsity competitors, many of whom rely on $100,000-$150,000 in annual giving and/or university funding to cover their operating budgets.
In addition to funding our operating expenses, your support is crucial in enhancing our program in two major ways by allowing us to hire an assistant coach for the first time in program history and helping us prepare both of our fleets for our upcoming move into a new facility. Please consider making a gift to help us grow our program and get Fordham Sailing back on track. Although this campaign officially ends at midnight, the site will stay live through Saturday night and we intend to continue pushing until we are able to reach our goal!
