Not everyone has access to warm clothing or basic needs
With the cold weather setting in, Krasman Centre is accepting donations of NEW winter wellness items to distribute to those in need this winter. While many of us look forward to the holidays, it can be an especially difficult time for individuals living with mental health, addiction and housing challenges. Lend your support this holiday season by donating:
Winter Clothing: hats, gloves, scarves, hand & foot warmers, socks and underwear, sweaters and pants, backpacks and bags, non-perishable snacks. thermos and water bottles.
Wellness items: notebooks and pens, word & number puzzle books, playing cards & fidget toys, travel-sized board games, art supplies, colouring books, gift cards to Tim Hortons or Mcdonalds in small denominations.

The Richmond Hill Drop by Centre is open for the holidays
Located at 10121 Yonge St., The Krasman Centre Richmond Hill Drop by Centre will be open during the holidays from 11:00 am-3:00 pm. The centre offers front-door access to food, survival and hygiene items, harm reduction kits, and peer support to individuals experiencing homelessness. Showers are also available. We don't function our best when we are feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Our peer-led support groups can lend support to individuals looking for a way to cope. We strive to maintain a welcoming environment where you will find support and understanding from others who share similar experiences.

You may have wondered what "Community of Practice" is about and what happens in this space.
The purpose of the community of practice is to provide a forum for mutual support, to share ideas and engage in activities that develop the practice and profession of peer support. We welcome People with Lived Experience interested in the Practice and Profession of Peer Support in Mental Health &/or Addictions, wellness and personal growth.
