Giving Tuesday

#GivingTuesday was started in 2012, as a way to make room for non-profit organizations at this time of year, including those in arts and culture.

Despite the unprecedented challenges of the past two years, Orchestra 2001 was able to keep the music playing! At a time when Center City venues were shuttered, we presented concerts all over our city: in parking lots, by train stations, at outdoor markets, and virtually, to audiences that were hungrier for artistic expressions than ever before.

All of this confirmed what we already knew: music has the power to transform lives and our city’s artists should be considered “essential workers.” Many of our events will continue to be offered free or pay-as-you-wish to the public, including in areas of the city where any price of admission might be a hardship, even during the best of times.

This Giving Tuesday, please consider making a gift to support music and those who create it!

Your 100% tax-deductible donation of any amount will help us present music that serves our community more equitably.
