GIVING BACK TO OUR LIFEBLOOD - SKANEATELES LAKE
Dear Friends of Skaneateles Lake-

The SLA is ever thankful for all those who show great care for the precious gem we know as Skaneateles Lake

As threats continue to surmount, the call to be stewards to our natural resources in need becomes so much greater.

Please consider helping increase our membership and giving to the SLA Legacy Fund today!

The vitality of our lake and the land around it means something different to all of us whether it is our drinking water, where we swim, fish, watch wildlife, sunrises and sunsets, provides fertile land to feed our families... the list and memories go on and become a driving force to ensure the quality of life and water for generations to come.

As the only not-for-profit solely dedicated to the entire Skaneateles Lake watershed, the SLA recognizes the responsibility in being committed as a change agent for the protection of our lake

This is done as an investor of time, treasure, and talent into reducing the threats of climate change, invasive species, and pollutants like limiting nutrients that can fuel Harmful Algal Blooms and the toxins that come with them.

Support for SLA to do this comes from our membership and gifts made to the Legacy Fund and we appreciate all who are part of that giving. THANK YOU!

Membership to SLA is the main funding mechanism to prevent and manage invasive species that are threatening our forests and waters as mentioned in a previous news report

The SLA Legacy Fund supports research that helps us better understand where to prioritize watershed improvement project that are implemented with those same dollars. The Legacy Fund also supports our outreach and community engagement efforts because we can't do this alone. It takes all of us as individuals, government, non-profits, academic institutions, businesses, and everyone in between that have stepped up to the plate in so many meaningful ways

SLA is not alone in this and we work continually to be a conduit for collaboration as a hub for our watershed community.

Along with all our current members and donors, SLA wants to especially thank those that have taken upon themselves to improve our lake. THANK YOU!

Please consider joining us in our efforts as a supporter in our mission and stay connected as we work together to improve our watershed.

PLEASE KEEP SLA IN MIND TODAY FOR GIVING TUESDAY

Consider helping increase our membership not only for financial support, but to stay connected and to provide more strength in numbers for our mission in lake protection.

Also, if you are already a member and have helped encourage other to join, please consider giving to the SLA Legacy Fund that was established to help address Harmful Algal Blooms.
Thank YOU!
