METAL MEETS THE PAINT

New artists take the stage in the gallery and atrium.

Anastacia Drake - “My sculpted paintings are created using heavy body acrylic
paint in order to create depth and texture. This technique evolved from my
work with visually impaired children. It challenges the boundaries of the acrylic
medium and in turn tests the viewers preconceived barriers of understanding
fine art.”

Sally Jurgensmier - “My sculptures are intended to bring a smile to your face. I
take metal, which is thought to be cold, hard, and unattractive, and give it life,
expression and personality. Each piece is unique and never mass produced. Each
piece can be displayed indoors or out.”

INKTOBER IN REAL LIFE

Participants share their drawings IRL

Inktober was a fun competition which allowed artists to explore their creativity, find new followers,
and earn prizes. Bianca Koehn, Sharon Carr and Cole Beebe took
the top three spots with their amazing ink drawings. To recognize all
of the Inktober participants, we set up a pop-up exhibition
in our expanded gallery space. This will be up through the middle
of December. Stop in and see this great collection of artistry
and follow all of the artists on social media.
FALL LUNCHEON SHINES
Members and guests enjoy fall luncheon.

D Damon Samuel entertained at the Ladies Guild Fall Luncheon while a wonderful homemade meal was served. Members of the guild prepared the food and the raspberry cake was a particular favorite among the guests. Nancy Schwertley introduced D Damon Samuel and then the event got underway. D Damon Samuel started with several basic items that anyone might have around the home like an old rake, and he showed how to dress it up to display on a porch or patio this holiday season.
