Advent Worship services, with dinner beforehand, are back! Join Wednesday evenings for a wonderful Mr. Vinny dinner after which we'll all go worship our Lord and prepare our hearts to celebrate His coming. We'll get the menu out next week, but put it on your calendar and save on cooking and cleaning.
Dinner on Dec. 8th will be a Chicken Parmesan and pasta! Come and check it out. Please RSVP so Mr. Vinny will know for how many to plan!
Free will offering - suggesting $5/person; $15/family - where else can you eat for that?! And it comes with great fellowship, too.
Don't forget to come help us decorate our home Saturday morning!

(Please take your Poinsettia home with you after the Christmas services.)
History buffs -
We need a written history of Faith Lutheran Church and School. In our cleanings, whatever we had has been lost. Do you have anything which could help us reconstruct the history of the congregation and school? Please contact Gordon Stuckert (Gordon.Stuckert@FaithMarietta.org) with any information you may have.
Thanks!
During the month of November, we are asking our families to help us show our gratitude for our school, by contributing to “A Faithful Future” campaign.
What is “A Faithful Future” campaign? It is your Parent Teacher League’s largest fundraising event for the 2021-2022.
How is the money raised spent? Monies from “A Faithful Future” are used for student events, educational enhancements, classroom resources and teacher support and appreciation.
How do I give? Visithttps://givebutter.com/afaithfulfutureand credit either "Faith Lutheran," "Faith Alumni," or one of the classes by choosing them. You can then choose an amount.
Thank you so much for supporting our school!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Help needed
As many of you are aware, Tim and Judy Rutz are long-time Faith members and Tim is battling many health issues. Cancer and surgery are just a few. We would like to reach out as fellow church members to help them in anyway we can. We are looking for a few people to volunteer an hour or so a week to sit and visit with Tim so that Judy can do the things she needs to do to take care of herself. If we could get a handful of people to help, the commitment would be less time. Positive faces and conversation would help immensely! If you are interested, please email Colleen Umphrey at umphrey.colleen@gmail.com and we can set up a schedule. If you are unable to help, prayers for healing and peace are greatly appreciated.

Thanksgiving Food Drive –
Psalm 107:1 “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”
I am so proud to announce that last year Faith Lutheran Church and School donated 86 thanksgiving food bags and this year we donated 120 bags!!! God’s love is so obvious in the generosity our congregation continues to show.
Thank you to Mitzi, Sybil, and all of the volunteers who helped make this happen. We could not do this without the continued support of all of you. As always Praise God from whom all blessing’s flow!
24 Days of Advent Food Drive –
The excitement of Advent makes this food drive super exciting to me. What a wonderful way for our families to count down the days to the birth of Jesus! All of these boxes should be turned into on or before the 24th. There are tables set up for anyone who would like to drop their donations off earlier. Christmas Toy Drive –
This year we will be collecting toys that will be donated to Simple Needs for families in need of help. All unwrapped gifts can be put under the Christmas Tree in the school lobby no later than Friday, December 17th. We are looking for someone to drive the toys to Simple Needs on Saturday, December 18th.We have one volunteer for delivery; it would be wonderful if we could get one more! Please prayerfully consider helping drop off the toys! Please email me at umphrey.colleen@gmail.com
Finally!! – Coat, hat, mitten, scarf, underwear and sock drive
Please leave these items under the Christmas Tree in the school lobby. These items will be distributed to various low-income apartments in the community.
Ladies, please join us for a group adventure on Tuesdays at 10:00 am in the LWML room at Faith.
Remember, if you are a member of Faith Lutheran or an LCMS member, you are automatically a member of LWML. The outreach of the LWML is international - as you give your mites on Mite Sunday, you are helping with God's outreach!
The LWML is nation wide: there are meetings throughout the Florida-Georgia district that you may be interested in and there is also an LWML convention held every two years which is attended by over 2,500 ladies who come together to praise the Lord and to make plans to distribute the mites we all collect. There is a lot for Christian ladies to do!
December 5 - Advent by Candlelight. Look earlier in the newsletter for more details.
December 5 & 12 - Quilts and seasonal table runners will be available for purchase in the LWML room.
December 12 - our annual Craft Show and Bake Sale in the LWML room, 8:45am - 12:30pm, or until we run out of baked goodies. For donations info contact Carol Seelman (404-295-4210) or Norma Palmer. See earlier article for more info.
December 14 @ 11am - LWML will visit J. Christopher's, at 2100 Roswell Rd, for brunch. Bring a new, unwrapped toy for the toy drive.
Craft-wise for December we will be donating caps and scarves made from donated fabric for MUST Ministries Christmas Tree. Ready and willing workers are always welcome on Tuesdays at 10am.
We'll take off the week of Christmas and resume on Tuesday, Jan 4, 2022 at 10:00am. You are all welcome to join us for a great New Year!
