Contact the City Councilmembers TODAY and let them know that these higher densities will impact all of us negatively.

We need your help now.  Let the Councilmembers know that public review of the General Plan Update over the holidays with incomplete information is not the right way to gather public input.
Ask them to delay the review until early next year.

We’ve repeatedly asked the City to compare this General Plan Update to tell us how the Update compares to our current General Plan.  They’ve failed to do that.*  (Because of that failure, the figures above have been calculated without any help from the City.)

The City needs to stop their “middle of the night” review process and produce the data we all need before they continue their Public Review.  They’ve worked on this General Plan Update for almost 12 years.  Why are they rushing this citizen review and doing it in the Holiday Season?

This revision clearly works for the developers and big land owners.  It needs to work for residents of Martinez too.

Yes, we should build more housing   But we should NOT damage our neighborhoods, our Downtown or our Waterfront in the process.

*See our website    https://www.thousandfriendsofmartinez.org/ )    for letters sent over the last two years requesting this and other information.  A detailed comment letter is also being sent to the City.
