Scripture of the Week

1 Peter 4:7-10

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God

Weekly Encouragement

Service Opens the Doors for Revival
Jesus came to bring healing. When people encounter the healing of God - it creates revival.

Revival is the moment when people encounter the love, power, and healing of God so that it transforms their life.  Now we must ask the question, "How can I live in a manner that releases the transformative power of God?"  This question can lead to dangerous pitfalls or empowering encounters.  If we think we can do it in our power, it's a pitfall.  When we recognize that as the Holy Spirit leads us to sow into lives, to meet needs, to pray, and to encourage, we are partnering to create the opportunity for Holy Spirit to move.

Serving others as the Spirit moves you is one of the greatest tangible ways to reveal God's power. As we serve the Body of Christ, we empower healing and transformation.  As we serve the community around us, we release the love of God into the places where those in need can experience God.  When service is empowered by the Holy Spirit, the fruit is supernatural.

Prayer Needs and Updates:

  • Pray for our mission organizations, their families, and their provision.  Celebrate Recovery Nicaragua, Freedom House, Helping Hands Healing Hearts, Idahope Families.
  • Pray for those called to serve in this season with Youth and Kids Ministries.  We are praying for those that have a burden for the youth and a willingness to serve them.
  • Pray for those called to Leadership at HVWC.  We believe that God is raising up mighty men and women of God who will lead others in their pursuit of God.  We know that God is expanding our influence, and those who desire to play a part in the body through leadership should know they are called to it in this season.
We are adopting a mission to Myanmar for Forward Housing to support teen orphans that are abandoned in the social safety net of that society.  We believe God will raise up mighty men and women of God to transform that nation!   Pray on how God wants you to partner this year.
