All current worship assistants, and anyone interested in learning more, are asked to attend this short training hour. Our in-person worship program is ever evolving and it's important that we all have the same information.

Church Poinsettias
We've purchased poinsettias to decorate the sanctuary at Christmas. You are invited to sponsor one of these beautiful plants for $10 each, and to share a special dedication that will be printed in the December 19 & 26 bulletins.
To participate, please complete the card found on the ushers’ table at the back of the sanctuary. Attach your cash or check to the card with the paper clip provided and place it in the basket near the table. If you are attending church on Zoom and would like to participate, please call MaryAnn in the office for assistance. Thank you.
The Bright Star of Bethlehem devotions for Advent are a gift from the sponsors of our recent photo exhibition. The daily devotions are written by members of The Bright Stars of Bethlehem Board and worshipfully focus on the life and experiences of the Christians of Bethlehem living in a land occupied by Israeli armed forces. The devotions point out how the "little town of Bethlehem" is persevering in the 21st Century. Copies are available in the narthex. Please help yourself.
Gift cards are easy to purchase and easy to transport. All gift cards are presented to Pastor Esteban Salazar at Iglesia Santa Cruz. Pastor Salazar distributes the cards to different families each month, as needed.
Thrivent grants are always a blessing. Your Thrivent dollars are generally used to purchase items from the list above. Please contact Steve Bennett if you would like more information about Thrivent grants.
The annual SLO Food Bank Challenge was met in November for a total of $12,000 which purchased 84,000 meals. Highest kudos to all of the Hunger Heroes at Mount Carmel.
Matching Gifts Challenge Benefitting the SLO County Food Bank
The new donation site is up and running. Please click the link below for more information.
If you prefer to donate to the matching funds challenge by check, make your check out to the SLO County Food Bank. Write Mt. Carmel Matching Funds Drive on the memo line so that your donation will be properly credited. Mail to:
Food Bank Coalition of SLO County
1180 Kendall Road
San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
Please do not route your food bank donations through Mount Carmel. Doing so will delay your donation and make tracking the matching funds challenge donations difficult for the food bank.
Thank you to Mount Carmel for your always generous spirit!
