December 2021
President Message
Greetings from WAHA. Winter is here although I think many are wondering where the snow is. WAHA wishes everyone a great holiday season.
Congratulations to all of those who have competed at the end of the season. Whether it was US Nationals, our Fall Open Show or anywhere in-between. Please send photos and any story you would like featured to Karissa Held at diamond.arabians@gmail.com. We love sharing stories of our members.
We had our annual Fall Colors Open Show at the Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn. Thank you to our judge Joann Ace-Schraufnagel for helping make our show a success. A huge thank you goes out to our volunteer show committee who put in lots of hours of time to make the show come together. Our open show committee is already hard at work looking at what our show season will look like next year.
Our Annual meeting will once again be held virtually via Zoom on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 at 7pm. With concerns for large gatherings indoors the WAHA Board made the decision to host it virtually again this year. The evening will have a year in review, our election for our open board member positions, a vote on bylaw changes and our annual awards presentation. Please plan to join us from the comfort of your own home. We do plan have a membership meeting at our annual show in July.
We are looking forward to our annual WAHA August show next year which will be in July at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds July 30-31, 2022 (pending all approvals). This show will be two jam packed days of traditional pleasure classes, Sport Horse Classes, Dressage and more. Stay tuned for more details on this show.
As we approach 2022 we are looking forward to another great year.
Sincerely,
Jessica Dillingham
WAHA President
